The Porto Flavia apartment has a lovely portion of terrace, overlooking the sea, furnished with tables and chairs. The double room with sea view is located on a 1.80 meter mezzanine together with the single room with the possibility of an additional bed. The apartment takes its name from the imposing port overlooking the sea in the Masua area. The only port in the world carved into the rock! A tunnel approximately 600 meters long, dug into the rock by miners, emerges halfway up a precipice which offers a breathtaking view of the suggestive Pan di Zucchero stack, a 133 meter natural monument shaped by time. Porto Flavia, inside the promontory overlooking Masua, in the territory of Iglesias, built between 1922 and 1924, is a daring work suspended between sky and sea, which allowed the direct loading of minerals, destined for Northern European foundries, on ships, drastically reducing transport times and costs.
